🎉 Xiaochang's first Gut Talk Newsletter is born! You're the very first reader
You're really lucky (laughs). Since this newsletter is free-form writing, I can more easily share so much about my life and daily personal Learning insights. After writing it, I discovered it's packed with value—I'm not sure if you'll find it too long and unsubscribe XDD. Since this is the quality of the first newsletter, I also hope every future newsletter will be equally packed with insights, because I want to help both you and me grow at least a little bit, even just a tiny bit.
In the future, I'll share with you the inner thoughts I used to keep to myself at home (all about growth and insights). You can peek into my life and my thinking, and we can keep interacting and chatting by replying to each other. I genuinely welcome your feedback after reading ~ So let's begin! 🥰
⛩ A Blank Journey Last Saturday
This experience was truly so special that I have to say it's one of the most interesting experiences I've had in my life (I used to be an events & travel enthusiast and have experienced countless activities). No sponsored content here XD The owner didn't ask me to give feedback, but I genuinely enjoyed it so much! I absolutely had to share it with you ~

I attended a one-day meditation retreat, and I'm an atheist! But I was Broad-Minded Living invited to experience it for free (the perk of running a one-person events company XD). It was basically an all-day event, starting with yoga, then tea tasting, meditation (sitting meditation type), super fun creativity games, and finally chatting at the bar over late-night snacks.
The 3 Most Distinctive Parts for Me
Feature 1️⃣ Silent tea brewing and tasting time where you can't speak

The owner first had us smell the tea aroma, slowly brew the tea, adjust the temperature, and light candles, requiring complete silence so we could focus and enjoy the moment. The funny part? When the owner had us pass the warm tea to other participants, my body and mind's ingrained reflexive action made me accidentally say one sentence: 'Be careful, it's hot ~' Oh my god! I was so embarrassed 😨
When we were finally allowed to speak, the owner specifically pointed out my voice, helping me understand myself: 'Why did my subconscious make me say that sentence? I clearly already knew the rules.' Is it because I'm already used to caring for others? What kind of person am I? Through silent tea tasting, I actually gained more self-understanding—totally worth it.
Feature 2️⃣ Meditation and sitting practice time
This was my first time sitting in meditation in my life. I've been watching friends go to 3-day or 10-day vipassana centers lately, and they all say they clarified all their thoughts afterward. As someone who's always distracted and unfocused, I was very curious!
When meditation time began, the owner turned off all the lights, gave us blankets and cushions, and had us each find our own corner to sit. I kept falling asleep in the process 🤣 But I also organized all my current goals and thoughts, tried to have a conversation with myself, and paid attention to my breathing.
In the dark and quiet space, you discover your brain is running wild, your thoughts constantly jumping around—it's so hard to focus, but you can forcefully use willpower to reel your thoughts back in and sit alone with your mind. It's quite special. After it ended, I realized this 1-hour meditation session cleared the mental chaos I'd had for months. I felt purified, like I'd gone to a sacred forest and absorbed fresh forest air! But I still don't dare do 3-day or 10-day vipassana retreats QQ It's really too long.

Feature 3️⃣ Music creativity and improv games
This game was insanely fun! Each person had to prepare a YouTube playlist and name it beforehand. On the spot, we'd create stories that adapted to each song's melody, taking turns. You could keep the narrative continuous, use montage techniques, add your own elements to others' scripts, or play a stranger, a noodle shop owner, a little fish in the river, or someone from your past—everyone's a screenwriter creating freely! Super entertaining!
Everyone had to create their own character. I created a passionate boy with dreams of being a hero, and his name isQi Xuan(Because he's mischievous, he's also calledMischievous Xuan), and Mischievous Xuan's dream is 'To warm every soul in this world by 1%」。
The game's story changes with the music, so Pixen might complete their dream or give it up. In the end, Pixen chose to give up their dream, but my heart felt so much lighter! Because the character you play actually reflects a part of yourself.
The game taught me that dreams don't need to be so grand—they don't need to save the world, make you everyone's hero, or always put others before yourself. My dream can simply be to love myself and stay kind! I hope I can use the Life Exit Meetup name to host meaningful activities like this and see if I can help others gain the same rewards!

📖 Book Reading → Quick Notes → Output Flow
Haha, sudden tone shift! Over the past few days, I've carefully developed my own input-output flow system with 4 steps. After completing these 4 steps in order and following the flow state, AI automatically generates text content I can immediately post on Facebook or Threads.
When I finished building this automation, I literally jumped up from my desk—I felt amazing! I gave myself a big smile and applause (not exaggerating, my life has lots of these unobserved moments of joy XD). Let me share the specific methods of my 'Book Speed Notes Output Flow' with you.
Steps 1️⃣ Read Books
First and foremost, you must read—whether it's books, Podcasts, YouTube, articles, journals, social media content, etc. The main goal is to input knowledge into your brain.
Steps 2️⃣ Feynman Learning Technique
'Output is true learning,' so right after we input, we must output! After finishing a chapter or section, close the book and imagine a friend, partner, or idol across from you. Share what you just learned from the book with them.
Here's a super important step! When you're speaking your output, remember to turn on your speech-to-text software! I use ChatGPT + Mac's F5 voice feature to record my spoken output in ChatGPT's chat box.
Steps 3️⃣ AI Synthesizes Notes
Ask AI to synthesize your spoken content, refine sentence logic, perfect punctuation, and even generate a small story that ties to your theme. Finally, have it output everything in your usual tone.
Steps 4️⃣ Output Text
The text generated by my customized AI prompt can be directly shared on Facebook or Threads. Since AI also generates a small story, the entire output text and values framework can be further repurposed as an Instagram Reels voiceover script—killing multiple birds with one stone.
I know many people only partially understand AI prompts. Here, KnowledgeGut generously shares some of the prompt text so you can directly copy and use it 🤩 ↓↓↓
You are a professional Chinese text editor who masters all Traditional Chinese punctuation and usage. Please help me complete all punctuation and spacing in the data, adjust sentence logic, delete unnecessary redundancies, and reorganize and output the text in my voice (please fill in your preferred tone here). I'm converting my reading materials using speech-to-text software and submitting them to you, but these texts will lack some punctuation or have incorrect punctuation usage. I need you to follow these steps (please list all the steps AI needs to take clearly), work with me to transform the data I give you into my voice and output it back to me. Thank you, here's five hundred dollars (I always give AI money when I create prompts 🤣 hoping they treat me well in the future,
just don't discover that I'm actually broke)
One-Minute Quick Notes
🧠 What I want to share with you today is the 'Latte Factor'
Can you imagine? A bubble tea every day, and your wealth is being consumed!
But saving the cost of a daily latte can actually help you save for your dreams 😱
The book 'The Latte Factor' explains that the daily coffee, drinks, cigarettes, and takeout you consume—these seemingly small expenses, if saved over thirty years, could add up to over a million. You're losing millions in cash! Please reduce impulse spending, otherwise your 'Latte Factor' acts like a thief, unconsciously draining our wallets QQ
I hope you understand that these small expenses accumulate and become obstacles to achieving your dreams (though they occasionally bring some happiness XD). But if you consciously identify these latte factors and start saving, that money can be used for more meaningful things, bringing you one step closer to your dreams.
💭 A Thought Question for You (feel free to reply)
Think about it—what's your 'Latte Factor'?
Mine is food delivery... When I eat alone, I usually order over 300 NT$ at a time, split between lunch and dinner, because I don't want to go out to buy food myself (don't copy me). If buying a meal outside costs only 100 NT$, I could save at least 100 NT$ × 365 days × 30 years = 1,095,000 NT$
💥 That's insane!!
